ABOUT ME
Hello, I’m Tammie and I’ve been a technical writer, communications specialist, and web developer for the past 15 years. I started my career developing and administering databases, which eventually evolved into IT project management and service delivery. I was part of a small team and as such, I was also tasked with developing training programs and writing technical and project documentation for our IT services and tools.
The more involved I was with the writing and communications aspect of my career, the more I wanted to be a full-time communications professional, particularly in the field of technical writing and content development. I currently work as a technical writer and content creator for the Office of the Chief Technology Officer for the government of Washington, D.C. I’m a contractor and freelancer and enjoy every moment when I am creating something beautiful.
I also like donating my writing and webmaster skills to causes that are important to me, including animal welfare organizations. I have also volunteered as a docent at the Smithsonian Institution and the Maryland Shakespeare Festival. When I'm not serving my customers, I read, garden, do a little gaming, work on my historic home, and spend time with friends and family.
